Job Role:
Junior Engineer (Civil): Responsibility
and supervision of civil construction / maintenance / interior works etc. of
infrastructure system in relation to buildings and other related tasks in
office buildings and residential colonies.
Junior Engineer (Electrical):
Responsibility and supervision of electrical/electro mechanical / electrical
& electronics system and other related tasks in office building and
residential colonies.
Pay Scale: The selected candidates
would receive an initial basic salary of ₹47,700/- per month (that is,
₹29,000/- plus nine advance increments allowable to Junior Engineers) on the
pay scale of ₹29000- 1700 (3) - 34100- 2040 (4) – 42260 - 2720 (6)- 8580 – 2950
(2) – 64480 – 3370 (3) – 74590 – 4050 (1) - 78640 plus other emoluments, as may
be admissible from time to time.
Presently, the Gross Emolument per
month for Junior Engineer (Civil / Electrical) is around ₹91,309/-

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: Candidates should have an
age between 20 to 30 years as on 1st April 2026. Candidates should have been
born either before or on 02/04/1996 and after or on 01/04/2006.
Age Relaxation: Age relaxation will
vary according to the categories and is as follows:

SC/ST – 5 Years
·
OBC – 3 Years
·
PwBD – 10 Years
·
PwBD (OBC) – 13 Years
·
PwBD (SC/ST) – 15 Years
Qualification:
Junior Engineer (Civil) - Candidates
must possess either Diploma in Civil Engineering having a minimum percentage of
65% (for SC/ST/PwBD 55%) from an institute or board recognized by AICTE or
B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering with 55% marks (for SC/ST/PwBD 45%).
Junior Engineer (Electrical) –
Candidates must hold a three-year diploma in Electrical or Electrical and
Electronic Engineering with a minimum of 65% marks (for SC/ST/PwBD 55%) or
B.E/B.Tech degree in Electrical or Electrical and Electronic Engineering with
55% marks (for SC/ST/PwBD 45%).

Selection Procedure for
RRB JE Posts
Candidates selected provisionally on
the basis of online exam will have to go through the language proficiency test.
Language Proficiency
Test (LPT)
Selected candidates provisionally
through online test will have to go through language proficiency test. LPT will
be held in official/local language of that particular zone. Candidates failing
to qualify language proficiency test will be disqualified.
