Eligibility Criteria for APSC Home Guard Vacancy
To apply for the Class-I Home Guard positions, candidates
must meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualification
Minimum
Requirement: Candidates must hold a Graduate Degree in any discipline
from a University recognized by the Government.
2.
Age Limit (As of Jan 1, 2026)
Minimum Age: 21 Years
Maximum Age: 38 Years
Age Relaxation:
SC/ST: 5 years (up to 43 years)
OBC/MOBC: 3 years (up to 41 years)
Ex-Servicemen: Maximum age limit is 50 years.

Domicile / Residency
Candidates must be original inhabitants of Assam.
Must submit a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) or
Employment Exchange Registration Certificate of Assam.
Selection Process
The selection for APSC Home Guard Recruitment 2026 involves five
distinct stages:
1. Written
Examination (Paper I & II): Assessing general ability,
intelligence, and general studies.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
Qualifying nature (includes 100m race, 800m race, and Long Jump).
3. Medical Standards Test: Must
meet specific physical and vision requirements.
4. Interview / Personality Test: 50
